Default Tune after 4l80e swap help!!

What's up guys I have a 2002 gmc Sierra 4x4. *I recently dud a 4l80e swap and am trying to figure out what to do to get it tuned. *I already have a hp tunners proflie with the truck and it was just dyno tuned a few weeks ago before the swap so everything else is spot on. * I was going to simply have the rpm/ speed changes done do to the 1st and second gear do to the gear ratio differences, but now I was told i may need to send my profile into hp tuners and have them change the segment id. * * Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Daryl

you can send your tune to ECtune on the HPTuners forum, as he is the only one that can actually do a seg swap.
OR
You can just start with a 6.0/4l80e file and change all the engine files...

is there any way to do the 80 tune without having the converter unlock every time you let off the gas? That is the one thing that bugs me. Its not bad with a stock converter, but if you have a looser one, i would think it would get old.

I don't think there is. I would PM this guy and check out what he has to offer though....

I sent mine to support@hptuners, and they had it back to me in about an hour.

Ok will it hurt anything if I drive it any distance without a tune? I'm going to Silverlake July 9th and I have Tj at baker tune the truck usually so I trust he will do a great job, but it's about 150 miles away...

Don't think it will shift without the tune...
