The Tune File Thread?
#12
Here is a start. One of my more recent tunes
Make/Model: 1999 Chevy Silverado ECSB
Engine:5.3
Operating System: EFI Live COS-5 tuned without a wideband
Type of Tune(N/A, Turbo, Nitrous, Supercharger): Nitrous
Noteables: Yank 3600 Torque converter, Pacesetter longtubes, no cats, Comp 224/224 .563/.563 on 112 lsa cam. 150 shot of nitrous.
Issues with tune-Still has a small idle hunt. I believe it's due to going lean at idle

I've shared my sentiments elsewhere, but I'm going to do it here too....
I know I'm late in the game here, but I don't see a lot to be gained by this. The people who are going to benefit the most from this are the people who buy an HPT/EFI cable and don't know how to tune and want something they can flash into their PCM real quick with no work. That's not going to fly real well with the sponsors.
The people who do their own tuning are not going to use the tunes posted other than possibly as a reference or just to glance through them, but that can be done just as easily by emailing another member and asking for a copy of their tune.
I don't see hardly any benefit, but I do see a lot of headaches and pissed off sponsors.

I think it would be a good reference tool for those who are new, experienced, or a veteren to tuning. It is one thing to try and explain to someone how and what to change in a tune vs downloading a tune to actually see what is what in a tune.

Organization would help a lot. If you can make it laid out based on engine size and F/I that would be a +
perhaps a table similar to our fastest trucks list organized by engine size and divided between F/I and N/A as well as HPT vs EFI
EFI has a repository, or did at one time.

Thats the whole point of the thread everyone is talking about. We all use this forum to reference or glance through, thats how most of us came to build the trucks we have and learn this information we know.
