Tuning DFCO
#31
#33
Went back to stock settings on all DFCO parameters, but set B3334 (DFCO Spark Ramping in Rate) to 0.07 across the board.
TP% reads 12ish, it enters DFCO even though the DFCO throttle enable table (B3316) specifies 1-7% throttle depending on RPM.
It enters DFCO above enable/disable RPM (1600-1800), but only exits when the RPM reaches activate/deactivate level (1200). So the explanation in EFILive is not quite correct (or at least is somewhat difficult to understand) in my opinion.
Anyone have a thought on how low I can go with DFCO deactivate RPM and still have things work fairly smoothly? Current is 1200.

Thanks!
Any chance you could post your RPM and MAP enable/disable values though, I've got EFILive and am incapable of looking at an HPT file (I think....if there's any way to do it, I'd love to look at the file itself).

I have a gauge for that

Thanks again...
Tried setting my enable/disable RPMs to 900 and 800 RPM, bumped my MAP values by 10kpa (MAP values are same as KLUG's). Have also previously increased the ramp-in rate on DFCO spark to 0.07. It's going into DFCO plenty often, and I like that. There is a problem exiting DFCO though.
I'm seeing timing and RPM oscillate trying to exit DFCO. As timing comes back in after exiting DFCO, RPM goes up, and its again meets DFCO entry parameters. It then pulls spark, RPM falls. Rinse, lather, repeat. Interval on oscillations is 1.5 seconds. (See attached screenshot, uploading in just a second).
Assuming I probably want to cure this with RPM settings. Will increasing the RPM spread be enough to solve it? Can obviously add in some hysteresis, but I presume that would just make the intervals longer? Any advice on RPM entry/exit values would be appreciated. Definitely going to raise entry RPM for now, but would love to put exit RPM lower instead (lower than 800?) if that's workable.

That's pretty close to stock on mine...think my reducing the RPM is definitely the problem. I'd love to get away with those lower RPM values if possible, it works great until it tries to exit at 800, then the oscillation starts.
