Tuning Help....
Well when I bought my headers, Summit was having a special where if you bought a Hypertech PPIII you get the 180 thermostat for free...
Installed my headers already and while I did that I also changed out my plugs and wires... Havent installed the thermostat....
So I am ready for tune... The only other mod Ive been thinking about is getting e-fans for now but I cant do that anytime soon.
Now after reading various posts here in this forum Im kind of scared to even use this tuner. You see, my truck is my daily driver and I cant afford to f*** it up.
I believe I can still send it back, they have a 90 day return policy. But are the Hypertech tuners really that bad? It seems everyone here goes with Nelsons tuning or Wait4Me tune...
I would just rather be safe then sorry.....

Oh and if you can, return the Shorty headers as well. I'd take the money you get back from both(I'm guessing $500-$600?) and order a Wait4Me tune and PaceSetter LT headers for the same price you payed for both items. I'm just trying to give some friendly advice, but make your own decisions.
Shorty headers + Hypertech = 10-15 HP..
PaceSetter LT headers + Wait4Me = 45-50 HP..
Both combos run around $600, you decide..
