If you shift into first at 45 mph you wont be there long. I cant even see your 1-2 WOT shift points set that high. I think your going into second, that ones gonna have to be proved to me.

I,ve got a wait4me tune also.
With 3.42 gears, my truck goes over 50mph in first gear.
It will downshift to first, if it's not going to be past 5800 when it gets there.
I have seen mine go to first at over 40mph, very fun.

The 1st gear in a 4L80 is longer than in a 4L60...

Yep, just did it twice, once at about 50. it went to about 5600rpm then quickly shifted to 2nd. It's definetly 1st gear. as far as the tires being off a little wouldn't it be linear through the whole scale of the speedo. the tires dont change size at different speed. so if it's .9" bigger then it's allways .9" bigger. until you get up to a 100 or more when there spinning fast enough to grow.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread..

No kidding ??

I was just trying to state that it's possible to shift that high....you've got to be able to turn some pretty good rpms (6300+) to make use of 1st at that speed but it's possible
