Yes. It tells the engine the exact position of the crank.

I also have a wait4me. I have had no problems with it what so ever. I had him remove all of my engine tqmt and leave my trans tqmt alone. Never had the crank re-learn done and no ses light as to yet. Oh i also am running 89 in my truck.

I sent Jesse my ECM (so no relearn) $84 and I shipped it and got it back in one week, truck runs great!--and they say it will run better the more you drive it.

give it about 2 weeks of daily driving.. it'll adjust to your driving habits a little... dont expect it to totally transform though... its still set for certain things.

thats just what he told me.... I guess he could have imbelished (sp) that number a little bit....

Let say he did 1/2 that,let say the other guys did 1/2 that 2000 tunes at $450=$900K,for most folks thats a pretty decent year.

you do have a point there... I didnt do the math when I was told that but it does come out to a pretty decent living... a really decent one actually... lol
