since you just did a motorswap and went bigger cam and etc... if I was you I would really prefer to do a dyno tune just cause you just dump alot of $$ on your truck so you want to get the best out of it, like I said I am a happy customer of Jesse and will surely do business again with him (Im already talking to him to do a custom tune for my stock cc),, but after I do my cam/spring swap on my EC I am really considering in making the drive to SA to get it dyno tune to get the most out of it you just cant beat a dyno tune.... .02

Along these lines - why not a dyno run and then send him the data sheets and let him tune from that?

I nkow some of you guys are within driving distance though. I plan to do a few pulls here in Cali just to see whats what (I am happy with my tune but want to see how its actually running and max it out but keep it stable) and then I will send my PCM back with the dyno log and have him finesse it since its free.

Thats why I data logged a few 1/4 mile runs, but it still doesnt help the cold start issue, or dying when I try to park, cam surge, etc. With what I've done, I need a dyno tune, no question, but I already paid for this tune when I was pretty much stock, and if he CAN get it right, I can use the extra money on something else.

I understand what you are saying but if you say it is costing your rental and all that I think it is worth to just go ahead and do a dyno tune...

you put heads/cam in a truck and then cheaped out on the tune? the tune is the most important thing! wfm is good for a stocker, but without having a truck right there to see what its doing, tuning is a shot in the dark.

No, I did a little bitty cam, and tried Jesse. It was great, then I went with a bigger cam, and heads, and got re-tuned and it was still close. Then I blew that motor, and put a new motor with a cam in it, and didn't have any extra $$ for a dyno tune, so I'm using W4M till I get HPtuners or save up for a dyno tune.

Well after all the problems I had with the w4m tune I gave butch (butch 02 denali) at advance a call and ordered a Westers tune for myself. Let me tell you, there is one hell of a difference. This thing pulls like a frieght train now. The shifts are just the way he said they would be and everything is exactly what he said it would be. I can definately see why the Westers tunes are alittle more now but, it is worth every penny. If anybody doubts Westers give butch a call or pm and he will make a believer out of you.

allen doesnt just throw your truck on the dyno and tune it he plugs his computer in and you'll go driving around and he throws a tune in and you go driving around until he gets it right...then if you want it he will make a dyno pull just to get the numbers your truck is putting out.
allen goes to nickens in conroe and tunes motors over there every week or 2 and he will tune your ride there...hit em up and see when he's going next and get you a hell of a good custom tune right there instead of driving to sa...
