Damn some of ya'll run it low!
Mine locks at 52 mph. Honestly, I couldn't drive my truck with the converter locked in 4th at 35-40 mph....the truck feels like it has no power with the rpms down that low. The converter locking and unlocking around town is also super annoying. Another advantage to having the lockup high is more power when getting onto the highway.

hmm so would it be better to drop the lock up down or raise it up? Right now mine is right around 39 and the speed limits are 40 so it barely has time to lock before it unlocks. It almost feels like my trans is slipping and gets annoying. Is it bad on the trans if its always locking and unlocking?
If i was to drop it to 35 it probably would not be such a big deal cz it would stay locked longer but it feels alot more comfortable when its unlocked so i'm thinking it might be better to raise it up to 45 or 50. But a higher lockup means reduced gas mileage right?
