Where is the BCM on a 99 Tahoe??
I need help y'all I can't find the BCM on my Tahoe. I recently installed a 2001 5.3 in my 99 Tahoe and the PCM has a wire thats suppose to hook up to the BCM but I can't find the damn thing!!

I also have no luck finding out where the old PCM attached to the BCM I have no schematic's showing this from either year. All it shows is where the wire pinout is on the 2001 PCM and what pinout it is on the BCM.

New body 99? If so, it's under the steering column behind the knee bolster. Black box, probably 4x4x1 or so. You'll see the thin end, it has three connectors attached to it, I think they are blue, brown, and purple or something like that.

I pulled the knee panel off and the only thing I see where the BCM should be is a little silver metal box with 1 plug in it. It's about 4x2x1. On the other side right under the headlight switch there's an after market alarm system. I checked in/under the center console too and it's not there either. I also checked behind the glove box and it's not there either. Could it be in the back behind a panel or something? I know it's in the back on my Vette and I had a suburban that it was in with the spare tire but that was an 89 model GMC.

It had a 5.7 Vortec with the spider injection in it and a 4L60-E trans. I pulled the motor and bought the spacer and flywheel for the 5.3 swap. I bought the complete motor with wiring harness and PCM up in NY for $450. I installed the motor and hooked everything up but it just starts and then dies. The injectors stop pulsing. Without a BCM to tell it to pulse I guess I'm just going to have to flash the PCM and remove VATS from it.

If it's the 5.7 then it's the old body style GMT400 platform. Unfortunately I don't know anything about those...the directions I gave you above were for the GMT800 platform.
