Lock it in 3rd at the track. I'm not sure if its better to delay the lockup a little after the shift or lock it asap, that is a test and tune item.

Mine is set to never lock in 2nd, and lock at 68 in 3rd, and 87 in 4th at 100%. I am not saying if those are good speeds or not, that is just where they have been since my 1st mail-order tune.

well my experience with converter lock up is with a stock or small 2800 converter leave it unlocked in all gears, now with a 3000 or higher lock it at 95mph in 3rd gear with 4.10 gear or 10mph after shifting into 3rd gear, with a turbo locking it will help keep load on it and a s/c will bog it down so hope this helps good luck.

my tuner did a dyno run with mine unlocked, then another run with it locked. then he did a graph overlay to see where the two runs intersected one another, and locked it at that point.... and i believe it was around 100 mph or so...

With around 600RWHP mine doesn't hold under WOT. I get around 2-300RPM of slip. Thinking about trying A tripple disk precision if the money tree ever starts blooming again.

Well.......I have been trying to get mine to lock as soon as I completed the 2-3 shift, which according to logs is now occuring.

My 2-3 is ~85mph and lock is commanded at 82mph. Scan shows converter mode lock as i enter 3rd.

I am wondering if my trap speed is down as a result altough the et is lower too?

log from a 12.09 run...
