This question gets asked alot, and we always see mixed answers. Here's GM's bulletin regarding the issue. Read it & weep.

Ive always wanted to take my truck to a dealership and let them check the VIN and the OS...

It's only fair, really. They didn't intend for vehicles to perform beyond that of the stock tune, so I wouldn't expect them to warranty beyond the stock tune either.

^ Yea that's what I do too, swapping back to stock PCM when taking to the stealer, and just have the tune loaded on another PCM.

I can't afford anything with a warranty so this worries me none lol.. But it makes sense I understand why they wouldn't warranty when someone changes everything

Who would ever mod a vehicle and jeopardize a warranty? Why would anyone want to mod a vehicle anyway?

or change out motors, thats just ridiculous haha..
