What's the big deal about the wylde chamber? You like that ubr stock? Think I'm going to go with the prs for mine.

Wylde chamber effectively shoots .223 and 5.56, and is a very accurate barrel.

I live the UBR. I had the PRS, and wasn't a fan. I traded it off for the UBR. Just know that if you get the PRS, you need the tube and spring. I bought this one... Magpul PRS Completion Kit*::*Stocks*::*Furniture*::*AR15*::*Tactical Works, Inc.

info about the barrel as posted on wilson combats site

What didn't you like? I haven't actually had one, I just liked that it has an adjustable cheek piece.

with hearing protection, I could never get a good sight on with my scope...I wear muffs most of the time. If you're the exact opposite and use plugs, you won't had that issue. Also, the butt plate just didn't adjust enough to make me feel all warm inside. I ended up wanting something with more adjustment.

It is a solid piece, heave...but SOLID. The UBR is about the same weight, and I don't stalk prey for days so I wasn't worried about that.

I would try to get your hands on a PRS and take it out to the range and see if you like it.

I HATE ear muffs with a passion. They are hot as hell and make my head sweat, and of course make proper cheek weld almost impossible. The only time I wear ear muffs is when Im at an indoor range do to the percussion but I still wear ear plugs under them too. These are what I use and work awesome
SportEAR Sport Plugz XP3 Medium Ear Plugs (NRR 19dB) Black
No waiting for foam to expand, and oyu can pull the little plug and you can hear pretty good without fully removing them. Worth their weight in gold for sure.

Those barrels look pretty good, I may eventually have to get one in the 20" variety for a tack driver long range AR build. I like the idea of the 5R rifling, and the price is pretty dang good if they perform. Any links to actual use?

Sounds like the PRS ought to work well for me. Im using the PEPR mount and need a little more cheek height to get proper eye alignment without a lot of work. Weight isnt a problem, it will be sporting the Vortex 2.5-10 thats on my 223 right now, a 14" quad rail, and eventually a can and bipod so its going to be a heavy turd regardless. Whats another pound
