I've been working on the current stock in the picture the last two nights (cause I was bored mostly)... But I am really starting to like the way it looks as is. That and I kinda wanna send the stock back and sink the extra money into more scope. I wish I could find a more traditional looking stock for it from B&C...

No that glass is Premium. Try one if you don't believe me. You'll thank e later! It's as clear as any Leupold I can afford to look through. It tracks PERFECTLY, and it's also the only quality Mil/Mil scope you can get in a variable power for under $850+.

You can get a vortex viper pst 6-24x50 FFP mil/mil for 850. Thats what I plan on using for my 308 5R. Is that a weaver? Kinda hard to tell from the pic, but couldnt find a model that looked like the one youve got. Have you ever had a chance to compare them side by side? Im always open to suggestions, Ive just enjoyed all my vortex scopes and their warranty is awesome.

Weaver Tactical Grand Slam Rifle Scope 3-10x 40mm 1/10 Mil Adjustments

Yes, I've looked through all the viper stuff and I agree that it is very good glass. That's way out side the power range I'm looking for. 10X is plenty on a long range deer rifle and it will bring in more light right up too the end of legal shooting times.. if you get the Weaver grand slam series its all made in Japan and is one of the better kept secrets in scopes. On sale from midway you get a hell of a lot of practical hunting scope for the money.

For 300 bucks if its as good as you say it is thats a dang good deal. Might have to try one ofbthose out for my 300blk. Was planning on going with a viper pst 2.5-10x32 its a FFP and mil but its 750 so 300 sounds much better. How do you think the weaver compares to the pst line? I had the 2.5-10x44 pst and it was great just sold it to fund some more build goodies.

I'd sure say they are worth a try, from what I've seen with mine. They get their glass from Nikkor like everyone else.
