Ended up buying marlboroman's XDm this weekend.
My 40 subcompact below

Cant wait to go shoot it and start modding it.

My first mod will be a tlr1s light, then a tungsten rod with 20# recoil spring. Probably going to end up trying out a PRP trigger and maybe later get a compensator. The compensator will come a lot later if I do it at all since it will require a new barrel and the compensator on top of that for a total of about 400 bucks.

This thing will stay at the house for home defense and for some pig shooting.

Whats a good home defense, and/or hunting round?

 

Badass gun! I shot Royce's XDm not too long ago and I liked it.

 

PRP triggers are nice but i couldnt find one for my XD

Which one? The 45 is too damn big for a carry gun. Its got a 5.25" barrel on it. My 40SC is pretty nice for concealed carry and carries a lot more *** than a 9 with a 3" barrel. If I was looking for a concealed carry gun right now Id pick up a xdm compact 45 3.8". Pretty compact and packs a punch with some 230gr jacketed hollow points

 

i have the xdm compact 9mm and .40 and love them have a crimes and trace lazer on the 9mm both great for carrying

 

i had that exact .40, but sold it for my .45, it was to small for what i wanted to do, but yes, it packed a punch!

 

I couldnt give up my little pistol, its a good shooting gun. I think it kicks more than a regular 45 though due to being so damn short. Im taking the 45 to work with me Wednesday to get a little range time afterwards. I want to try some 50yd shots to see if its realistic to use for hunting. My next purchase will be this one

I dont think Ill get rid of my 40 though, Im a hoarder of firearms. I want to get a 9 just for screwing around but I want to mod this 45 first and get the 45 compact for my carry gun.

Ive got a crossbreed SOB holster for my 40 but Ive been wanting to try something new because that damn thing digs into my back when Im driving. Probably try this one out but Ill wait to get it once I get a 45 compact.
