Good luck Ben, as I'm sure you know stuff is crazy now. 10/22s are going for 500 on gunbroker
The XDs will be coming out in 9mm shortly, they unveiled it at SHOT show this week.

I almost bought the Beretta Nano in 9mm at the show in Houston but decided to hold off, it was priced pretty good. A good friend bought one Friday while we were at the range and I put a few mags thru it and I really liked it. Pretty damn accurate for something smaller than the size of my hand. I just about got one just to hold me over while I looked for my shield but decided against it. He bought his gun, two boxes of ammo, a lane rental, targets and a holster for the Nano for $550. Turned around and sold it the next day minus one box of ammo we put thru it for $650 before he even had a chance to clean it lol. The one I saw at the show was $385.
At this point I'm either getting the little M&P or the XDs. I'm on waiting lists for both. The all black .45 is the XD I would prefer unless by some chance they had a .40 out by then. 9mm does the job, but if I have a choice I'd rather carry a bigger caliber simply for stopping power if God forbid I ever needed it.

10/22 for $500 is crazy, as are most prices these days. I'll wait for the XDs in .40, I already have the XD40, and that way I don't need to by as many different calibers of ammunition. I already have too many diff calibers as it is.
Hopefully it won't take too long....

Yeah, the ruger 22s are going for ridiculous prices right now. It sucks because I was planning on putting together a pink 10/22 for the wife since I cant beat her off mine when we go to the range but thay didnt wprk out so she got an ipad for Christmas. Shes probably happier with the ipad anyway
The XDs 9mm carries 2 more rounds than the 45 so when I buy another I'll probably go with the 9 as only carrying five rounds kind of concerned me.

Found one!!!!!
Went by the shop where I'm on a list just to enquire as to how far I'd moved up (wasn't expecting anything) and was told that they tried to call a couple people on the list and haven't had a returned call or answer in two days and since I was standing there, It was mine if I wanted it... They didn't get it out of their mouths good and I was already whipping out the DL and conceal carry permit
Got a box of ammo because I had none with me and went straight to their indoor range with it. This thing shoots VERY WELL. I was surprised as to how it drew and handled being so small. But it raises and is on target very naturally. The sights are great as well. Super visible. I am all around thoroughly impressed with it. I know its not something I'll put a ton of rounds thru, it's meant to carry. But if I'm gonna have to use it and make follow up shots I can do it with more confidence than any other pocket size gun I've fired. Yes, even the XDs. The recoil is sharp being a .40 in a very small package but extremely manageable, even with the short unextended mag. The extended mag is 100x better though. Anyway, there's my first 20-25rd impression. Over all it's an extremely well built, priced and thought out carry weapon. Very accurate as well with the stump of a barrel. Very tight groups even out to 15-20yds. Holes in holes at anything less than 15 with garbage ammo.
Very pleased so far, this will be my every day side arm. No second thought about it.
