intro to 600 yards

Also for a breathing technique. Take 3 breaths not big, just be comfortable. At the end of the third your body should be at its most relaxed point. Then focus on your target and squeeze the trigger and follow thru

Iven seen many of the cheap scopes run out of adjustment at 400-500yds on 308 and 223s.
Ive put 20moa bases on all my rifles just incase i wanna stretch their legs. Ive really liked EGW, not too expensive but fit and finish is very nice.
To figure out whats comfortable for you, just take the bolt out of your rifle and lay in the floor of your house and see what works for you.

Scope is just a cheap ncstar hunting scope. Great for hunting like I bought it for just don't have much elevation to it. I thought about a 20 moa base but that brought up the question about being able ti return to a 100 yard zero. So trying to find a 10 moa base till I change scopes later on. Didn't some ring maker use to offer a index bushing for elevation as well? Thought I had heard or read about people using them awhile back.

The ring index that you are thinking about is on the burris Signature Series Zee ring. However to be honest with ya that doesnt fix the problem. Id save and buy a Super Sniper 10x 42mm objective or a Bushnell 3200 tactical 10x. The Bushnells got 100moa of adjustment and you wont run out of anything with that

Perfect timing on this thread. Went to play at 300 last night to get a zero and it was my first time shooting with other f-class guys. It was a little bit humbling.
I'll be shooting a 3 day match this weekend so it should be interesting. Course of fire is:
Saturday
15 shots @300 yrds
15@600
15@500
15@900
Sunday
7@300
7@500
7@600
15@600
10@1000
Monday
15@900
15@900
15@1000
I'll try to snap some pictures this weekend. I'll be shooting a Rem700 thats been tuned a bit in 6.5x55 with a Nightforce BR 8-32x56. I just picked it up last year and finally got a load down for it a couple weeks ago.
