If you have a night stand just stick it in a holster on the night stand, install night sights, and use that to guide you to the gun. That is what I do, and I keep a flash light on both stands, not a rail mounted gun light.

Just got my TLR-3 in the mail and put it on yesterday. Looks sturdy, extremely bright, and good beam (the sights line up right in the middle of the solid beam on the wall at ten feet). I'm going to be using it for home protection, so I am comfortable that wherever the solid beam is, the bullet is going. Money well spent.

Haven't shot with it on yet but will post up when I do.

Roger, if you want me to snap some pics of it and post them up, I'll be happy to.

The light is very light weight, I didn't notice the extra front weight hardly at all.

You can reach the switch with your trigger finger or with your thumb of your non-dominant hand (my preference). You can press slightly down to turn the light on briefly, or press all of the way down to lock it on.

About 7 feet from the wall

Still about 7 feet, used the bike for a point of reference

The clays by your bed look like more fun. Went shooting Sunday and damn I'm rusty

I think I'm going to pick up a tlr1s for my xdm 45 5.25.

I had to knock a bit of rust off for a duck hunting trip the other week, let's just say I didn't knock enough off

Wish I had more time (and money) to shoot, sure is fun

Those 5.25" XDm 45's look mean
