I have had good luck with Varget in all the rifles I load it for, 22-250, 243, 30-06, 308, 204ruger. All have had good FPS and been accurate. Guns and loading is a addiction big time of mine. I bought my first rifle 6 years ago. I have had rifles but little play stuff. well the first 300win mag lead to loading that lead to hanging at a gun shop, that lead to me working in the gun shop and now I do gun smiting (mostly repair/refurbishing/hot/cold bluing/dura coating,ect..) and it has ALL snowballed from there.
This was a 338rum I once owned. Rem sendero 700 action , McM A5 stock, SS5x20 with a 20MOA base and a few other little goodies. When I first put the rifle together and got her beded and ready to run I loaded up 20 rounds of 300gr Berger and crony them at 2650 to 2655. It took 3 rounds to get her sighted in at 100 yards. then I played at 3 5 700 to check ballistics charts. well I had 7 rounds still jumping to be shot so I gave 1200 yards a try. I will admit IT WAS ALL LUCK with no wind and the stars were lined up perfect.... I had only shot 1000 at the time.

Yeah I tried a 6 WOA for a while which is a ballistic twin. Its a neat cartridge, If I only had one AR it would fit nicer into my arsenal. I hear that there will be a company loading for it next year. Doesn't effect me but its nice to have a back up ammo option. I have had good success with my 6.5 out to 800 (just plinking) and My buddy Scott at SD has been using his in tactical matches out to and past 1100 yards with great success!

I'm using it in my .204 and my buddy's are having GREAT results with it and 69 g. sierra's out of 5.56 1-8" twist barrels. It is about the same burn rate as BLC2 and it has fine enough grains you can pack alot of it in a case. We have been making runs down to Powder Valley, got about 12 lbs. of it between the three of us...
