Default Metal frame .45 opinions

I am looking to get a .45 and it will be full metal and not necessarily a 1911. My dad has a CZ 97 and its awesome and also have an XD 45 and a 99yr-old 1911. Little bro has a Kimber Raptor2...****** nice too. I have had my eye on a Sig P220 Super Match 5"

Any thoughts or suggestions

I love my Sigs (I have a P220 carry for daily use and a Mosquito for plinking), but I have also had positive results with my metal frame Kahrs. I have an E9 with at least 10k rounds through it without a single issue. Why are you stuck on a metal frame? What are your ultimate goals for the weapon?

I like the weight of a metal gun and prefer a 5" barrel for accuracy at the range. It is not a carry gun. I have an FNP-9 already for a polymer gun. My brother has the Kimber and a Glock23. Both nice guns, but i don't like the feel of the Glock. I much prefer the HK or FN.

Dad has the 1911 (original), CZ97, HK USP .45 expert, XD 45 4", and USP 9 copact..plus a bunch of revolvers.

I love the weight of the CZ and and 1911, but prefer a wider grip. The USP is a very very nice piece. The XD cant be beat for the money, just would like more weight.

Price range is up to 1200

Check the Para Ordinance, pretty wide grip.

Smith and Wesson Chief Special .45 semi

Beretta 92fs (hate them)

The Para is a good option...need to get my hands on one here locally.

The chief and the P226/229 are too small

I am with you on the Beretta

I do not want a conceal/carry gun.....4.5" barrel minimum.
