Default my new to me ria 1911a1

my first 1911, good beginner/noob 1911, then ill work up into a springfield or wilson combat.








plans include:
adj. match trigger
King match barrel
one piece titanium guide rod
match sights
magwell
ambi safety


gun already has match sear, wilson combat disconector, and a few other parts.

How does it shot. I am going to pick up the 2011 Tactical version in the next week or two. Maybe at the Pasadena gun show next week

Those Rock Islands are pretty cheap. I wouldn't mind picking one up just to have a 1911 platform. Let me know how it functions!

shoots damn good. but then it isnt stock. for those of you who dont know, RIA makes springfield.

If you're not left handed, I prefer the right handed saftey instead of an ambi but it's personal preference. Gun is thinner and don't need special grips for right handed saftey.

This is NOT true, they are totally different companies. RIAs are Phillipino 1911 copies made by Armscor.
