I really wanted to get a RIA when I was looking for a 1911 but couldn't find any that were a .45 so I picked up a Remington R1.

I want to order this RIA 1911A2..
1911 9MM Rock Island Hi-Cap with Two-Tone Finish #AC-RI1911-9MM-HCTT

I prefer having a 9mm for a range run, cheaper to shoot and hardly any recoil with the weigth of the 1911.
Ohh and its a double stack
I have a 40 for a carry gun, so this one will probably get adjustable sights, trigger work, magewell, and maybe a match barrel later on down the road.

That site has real good prices. I like the polished one for $449. I also like the high compacity .45 RIA. All black is a nice militariean piece.

bump back up for a question. What do you guys think about a .38 super, and what do you think about the high polish nickel finish on these guns?

.38 super is stupid IMHO. i would rather get a 9mm 1911 and be able to shoot all day without breaking bank
