I am a die hard glock fan. I have more of them than any other gun. I have never had a problem. Never broken one. I am also a Federally licensed dealer. I have sold hundreds of glocks. Never even heard of one breaking. I put 3000 rounds down range with various glocks this weekend. No failures at all. Yes three thousand rounds.

Edit: to be clear I did not pull the trigger on all of those rounds. My wife and a few employees helped.

Ill have to look tom but there are a few agencies that are using the XD.

Our highway patrol just changed over from the .40 to the 357 sig.

The XDs are easier to sell because they come with tons of accessories. You can't beat an XD or a glock. I prefer glock though. They are ugly and cheap looking but they work well and feel good to me.
You might need another barrell after about 100,000 more rounds in your XD.

XDs ARE great guns, I've owned a few..... however....when it comes down to it, glocks and 1911s are dominant in competition for a reason.

They've been around longer and people don't like change.

Actually if one where to expose themselves to a little competition they'd see that statement isn't true. Boys will be boys, some will always try the latest and greatest only go go back to what is tried and true. XDs have been around long enough to claim some share of the market but the reality is that Springfield doesn't get it. These guns need a lower bore axis, which is why you see more M&Ps than you do XDs even though XDs have been around considerably longer.

People stick with/come back to glocks because of their lower bore axis, and find that all things being equal, they can shoot them faster with more accuracy than other polymer platforms. People stick with 1911s because it has a better trigger than any polymer out there, not to mention inherent accuracy.

I ot a few glocks and love em I usually add trijicon sights, 3.5lb tigger connector, extended mag release and extended slide release thats all they really need IMO. I got a G22 like yours man and its my daily carry gun I have the above mods and a streamlight TLR1-s. Glocks are either a love em or hate em firearm, and I'm a fan of em!
