damn, we're about a 5 minute bike ride from each other. im in the new neighborhood down cypresswood (cypresswood point). cody, my first choice would be to just take out my 10/22 but i plan to shoot the pig in a residential area and the less noise i can make, the better lol.

Who wouldve tought air guns were such a big deal these days. A 17 caliber rifle can do the job fine, just needs a little powder behind it By far my favorite "plinking" gun is my ruger 17hmr. Little bastard is fast as hell and deadly to 600 yards(better be dead calm though).
What kind of range do those things realistically have?

Straight out of the box with just a decent scope its a tack driver. Id eventually like to get some owrk done on it to make it even better.

I thought about getting a .17 rimfire but the cost of ammo sucks compared to the regular cheap ole .22lr.
OP, what's the price on a gun in your OP? I am looking for something my dad can use. We bought him a $200 benjamin from a sporting goods store, crack barrel with a scope. Total piece of crap. Shoots horrible groups from a rest at only 5-15 yards.

lol, it wasnt cheap but something i wanted. the gun, pump, scope, scope rings, 4 tins of pellets, cleaning pellets, a gun case, bipod and an extra magazine was a little over 700 with a 11% off discount code. i just think it would be cool to say i took a pig with an airgun.

Benjamin must have went to crap on qulity. My Dad told me he used to Kill Doe back in the day with the .22 caliber version. I grew up from about the age of 5 useing the .117 an i could hold a really close croup at 25 yards an killed rabbits at 50+ with it.

bro that .25 cal is sick. my buddy has one. there is an airgun shop by me that mods them and they push 900-950 FPS. he had his modded by them. i dont really know to much of what they do. i just know he loves it and it does have pinpoint accuracy. i seen him shoot pellets on top of pellets.
