Went with a Bushnell Banner 6-24x40. Got it mounted and I really like it so far. Also camo'd it. It was my first attempt to camo anything but I think it came out alright.

Have to ask, why camo a gun that isn't used in the service? Turned out good though, I need to get me a 308.

Went to the range on Sunday to sight in the new scope.
Here are some pics.

Over the next couple of weeks me and my buddy are going to clean up the range. And hang some 24"x24" steel plates at 400 and 500 meters.

went back to the range yesterday. Set the target at 200m and it was still dead on. I just ordered a Rifle Basix Sav-1 trigger for it. Hopefully it will help me get some tighter groups.
I plan on ordering the Hornady Lock-n-load AP press to start reloading my own rounds.

Ive got a rifle basix in my savage 300wm. Cant be beat for the money. Just be careful and dont set it to light. My 300 will fire if i close the bolt fast. Keeps it interesting
