I'm a bit biased, I prefer Glocks for my conceal carry. I do also carry a lcp and bodyguard .380 for summer.

I initially went out to purchase an XD, but after handling a few guns I bought a g23. I love the .40 round, but with the price I hardly shoot it. I shoot my 19 or swap in my 9mm lone wolf conversion barrel in the 23. Any decent 9mm JHP will take down a man.

Unfortunately, it's very hard to get full power 10mm stuff, unless you reload or are willing to pay $1/round for Buffalo Bore. I guess that's why my G29 is sitting in the closet collecting dust.
What's the gr count on that Buffalo Bore stuff u mentioned?

For handguns my preference are S&W semi autos ( i have a stainless 1911 45. that fits like a glove)

And older Colt 1911's ( have one also) Both these guns fit nice and are comfortable in the hand.
Ya, I hear ya on the fit or lack of it.

Actually, buddy, S&W has a few nice semis now. They made em look hi end, like Kimbers w/. a price tag to match. Have u seen em? I wanna say they're $1000-1600, yet I don't know what 2 models I saw a few days, didn't really consider em. I, as many view S&W as revolver extraordinare. I'd certainly shoot their semis tho if given the chance.

What's yer Colt model? For me, I love how the Colt fits my hand, they don't checker the front strap like most Kimbers, but the grip is awesome, just the plain ole black grip like on the Govt model.

they have 180, 200, and 220 grain rounds.

10mm is an incredibly versatile round. You have bullets ranging from 135 to 220 grains.

Gotcha on velocities not energy. Guess I'd need to shoot some 200 or 220's then to fully feel it. I know if I went to the other range near my work, they have 10mm ammo from $38-43 per 50 rds. Wanna say they're Winchester (Federal maybe) & Hornady. Not sure on grain ct, as I've just been checkin things out.

Looks versatile. Those 135 gr, would be like shootin a small cal like a .38 / 9. Guess those are the 10mm "lites".

Someone who has a few guns said why are u lookin at 10's? They're ammo is a fortune, even more so than .40, & .40 ammo ain't cheap by any means either.

Yet, I still wanted to shoot one. And still might get one.

They're cool cause not everyone has 1, & they're effective. Uncool is the same issue, since uncommon to most, ammo is expensive as are the gun itself. I don't hunt, & I don't really need a 10. Just want one. To carry & / or play w/. now & then. For regular play time (target), I'd shoot the .45, it's cheaper anyways.

Since I don't hunt, I'm not even lookin at S&W .460's or .500's. If I was, that'd be different story. They're way too $ just to shoot at $2-3 a round.
And last I checked, if I wanted either, the .460 actually costs more. Odd, the smaller cal was more.

Seems like all the guns I want are.

I'm also a bit biased as I love my Glock 23, but have spent a small amount of money on extras and a good amount of time refining the actually operation of the trigger assembly. I have also owned a XDm that I loved but my cousin took it and we finally transfered it over so he had a good CC gun.

Revolvers are not my thing... Other than the one Taurus raging bull I had in 454 Casull.... fun gun to pull out at the good ole' range dick measuring contest LMAO.

I'm also a big 1911 fan, but I'm very very picky.. I prefer the Dan Wesson line and also a few od springfields guns.

I hate Kimber and Wilson combat you pay a hefty price for pretty much the same crap you get with a para oridance.

The last Kimber I had went back to Kimber 3 times before they agreed to refund my purchase price...

I love nice gun, revolver or not. "good ole' range dick measuring contest"

Not sure if it's true on all Dan Wesson's, but I found a nice piece from DW, & learned that gun was actually a CZ. Does Dan Wesson base all his stuff off CZ platform?

I love S&W for a revolver, & those 2 semis from them I saw were sweet. But semiautos, I like Kimber & Colt. Anything else, I'd have to see it 1st & do my homework. Tho that XDm was pretty sweet. Wilson is WAY too $$$$ for me!!!

Which Kimber did u have? Was it an Ultra or what? Kimber refunded your $ or your dealer?

I've observed this. It seems as tho, guys who've shot or had Kimber vs had / used a Glock, whether in military or not, they pick a side. Most people don't like both Kimber & Glock. Like a polarization affect.

Whenever I walk into a place that has multiple brands, I always look at the Kimbers, Colts, & S&W's. I like to see what's new, or what I want next. Not need, want. Beretta's after that. Maybe then I look at Springfield & Para if time, or Sig, but not so much on these last 3.
