I have a DPMS and have had no problems yet. I have only had it a few months and a few hundred rounds, but no issues yet.

Nothing wrong with spikes either, but the fit on it is a little loose on all of my uppers. No where near as nice as my noveske.

well the rifle is mostly goin to be used as a varmint/ hog eradication gun lol.. hopefully within the coming years it will be supressed for night hunting. also as a plinking gun at the range.. thee rifle will probably see anywhere from 1000-2000 rounds a year maybe less if I end up taking an oil field job here pretty soon lol.

Thank you for everyones input

Mine is the opposite, and I can video it for proof!

Mine lower fits too tight, tolerances suck! I have to use a punch to take it down

I will buy a PSA or AIM cheap one next time, for now my New Frontier Armory polymer does fine, but have not shot it!

I would look into 6.5/6.8/.300 for hogs

IF your goin for hogs and such, get a 7 twist barrel and sling the heavier 75gr bullets.
PPU Match 75gr are cheap and work great. its what ive used on all my hog/deer killings.

ya i will be looking into a 1 in 7 twist so that i can shoot heavier rounds. I don't want to step up to a 6.8 for the reason that I can't afford to go hammer 200 rounds of 6.8 at the range haha. Im not the type of guy that doesn't shoot my guns I want a cheaper round so I can afford to play.

Same reason that i want to buy a 9mm 1911.. I can afford to work on trigger pull and mechanics all day with a 9mm lol..

Also you can still use 40gr loads. Mine loves the VMax.

thanks for everyone's input and help. Well in talking with a couple of local buddies, I still have alot of research and deciding todo. I might end up going a 20" barrel with a 1:9 and just shoot some 62s. Maybe even a 24". This gun will most likely see more range than ranch. And I want accuracy.

As you can see I am undecided as what todo, I would rather not do what my buddy did, and have 2 5.56 uppers for different uses. I would like to have 1 223 upper that is consistently capable of sub MOA at 100 yards, and still accurate beyond.

Get a BCM upper then. Mine is insanely accurate. 20" 1/7 twist upper. Plus, they are milspec, and VERY affordable.
