what does your wife/lady friend EDC?

Been helping some my friends learn how to shoot, 38SPL revolver is the most foolproof setup you can ask for.
BUT! the trigger is so hard for them to work that its hard to keep them on the paper.
Semiauto for a female that doesnt practice with it alot is not a good idea.

My wife doesn't edc, but she wanted something of her own as she doesn't like my XD40 and for times when she is home alone and I take the XD with me. After several gun shows and a few trips to the local range shooting rentals, she decided on a S&W SD9. It wouldn't be my first choice but she seems to like it alot and it is small enough that it could be used for edc.

We picked up an LC9 for my wife. Shoots great for its size; much better than an LCP in every way (unless you need a gun the size of a credit card). I carry it every once in a while myself.

i loved the size of my lcp, but it didnt shoot for crap. the lc9 isnt a tack driver, but shoots 10x better than the LCP. i think it was a great choice for an EDC for the wife and within a decent budget. i wouldnt be my first choice to carry, but i'm sure i'll eventually borrow it from her.

I usually carry my duty pistol, an H&K P2000 in .40 S&W. However, when I want something more concealable, the LC9 fits the bill just fine. The trigger is no crisp 1911 job, but it stacks up just fine with the law enforcement triggers on many models, including my P2000. I am actually pretty impressed with the pistol overall. I just need to pick up another mag or two ($30 EACH! )

I'd get this for a small off-duty cc gun for myself. It wasn't available when I got the wife's gun or this would've been the choice. I like cartridge commonality; a single-stack cc gun loaded with the same ammo I have in my duty piece would be money.
