Default Where to buy ammo?

So I was shopping around for some 40cal range ammo for this weekend when I realized this stuff has rocked in price way more than I thought.
Walmart 100ct 37.99
Sheels 50ct 18.99
Sportsmans 50ct 17.99 250ct 89.99
Dicks 50ct 18.99

Any tricks or best places to shop? Back in the day my father in law was an endless supply of free to me ammo, but a stint of unemployment and greater distance has brought that to an end. I normally avoid walmart, but Now it's time to stock back up so i may end up resorting back to them. I will eventually get back into reloading. Thanks fellas.

Sorry brother, that train already left the station. With current commodity prices and political climate, anything related to GUNS is through the roof. Reloading may save you a few cents but questionable. Buck up and stock up!

Well I went to several places yesterday. Ended up paying 39.99/100ct at sportsmanship warehouse. Limited to 3 boxes. They were Telling me .22 ammo doesn't last more than 2-3 mins. 9mm is even worse. Couldn't find any 9mm anywhere I went. Called 10 stores no one had anything. It's nuts out there. My favorite was one store had the Obama firearm salesmen of the year photo up. this shiz is out of control. Everything they are attempting to do has pretty much just made it all crazier. I am thinking I will wait a little while before I buy anything again. This has to cool off soon. The 9mm for my wife and the .223 for myself are going to be high priority, but I refuse to pay this BS.

I've had good luck lately with SGAMMO. Prices are still high, but not as high as others I've seen. Always keep your eyes open, I had a buddy that stumbled across a 1000 rounds of Federal 223 for $400 at the WM in Oxford, AL.

One of them things...

I ordered 1000 Winchester 180gr Bonded HP stuff from Natchezss.com before it all got crazy.. thats the stuff i use in my carry gun so i got enough for the rest of my life on it.

Everything else is a good luck.. getting into reloading and you still gotta find powder, primers, bullets, brass, and dies all which are none existant at the moment.

Bass Pro, all the walmarts, and sporting good stores here are bone dry.
I find a pound of powder every now and again at bass pro. besides that its a mad house.
