Scott, you don't have to take it personally when someone doesn't think the XD is the greatest gun ever. It is possible to grip the pistol without depressing the grip safety. That's why I mentioned being forced into an awkward grip. I deal with these situations on a fairly regular basis, so I've seen a lot of the failures that happen under stress. I'm not even trying to say I'm right and you're wrong. I just offered my opinion based on my training any experience. You can obviously carry whatever you like.
Also If I get both arms blown off I'll pull the trigger with my toes obviously. I'm working on reloading with my dick and the sole of my shoe.

because Kimber is overpriced...you can get just as good, or better quality for the same price or cheaper!

Looks like the other calibers wont be around til 2013. It also looks like a stainless slide gun will be released at the same time as the all black. I want a stainless one and was hoping theyd delay release of that option so Id have a reason to hold back on getting one right away. Going to be tough holding out til September for the gear up promotion
