XDM vs. M&P
#11
so far it looks like its close between these two. I am going to rent one the next time I get up to plano. I looked at shooting one at the indoor range in garland, but they only had a used .40 to try out. I kinda wanted to try out the 9mm seeing it is what I want to get.

I own an M&P and personally think it fits the hand really well and is smooth slide once it gets broke in. Mine as a .45 so its expensive to shoot but i dont think you can go wrong with one.

I carry a M&P9 full size and love everything about it. I have about 8K rounds through it and it still shoots like new. I reload 9mm and .40 and sell the 40. I can reload 9mm for $15 per 100 rounds. Have about 1800 rounds ready to go and still make new ammo. With the amount I shoot the loading equipment has more than paid for itself.

I was Armorer for our sheriff's department M&P's for 3 years, we averaged 3000 rounds per year through 20 weapons with no problems. Trigger is long for first shot, but reset is very short for second shot and pull weight is much less. Bought one for my CCW because of the positive luck we had with the ones I worked on. At 10,000 rounds replaced all springs including 3 magazine springs and slide stop release, cost less than $68 per pistol. Love them
